Sewer Line Replacement
When your sewer line needs to be replaced, there are two ways we can do it:
Traditional Sewer Line Replacement
The first is the traditional way, which means excavating the old pipe and laying a new pipe in the trench. Then, we connect the new pipe to the city’s mainline or your septic tank and the internal plumbing. After testing everything, we backfill the trench and do a rough grading of the area.
Pipe Bursting Technology
The second way we can replace a sewer pipe is by a system called “pipe bursting.” Rather than dig up the entire sewer line, we only dig two holes, one at each end where the new pipe will be connected. Then, using a special winch with a “bursting head” on it, we can pull a new sewer line through the existing compromised line.
This method is preferred where driveways, gardens, decks, or other objects could make excavating the line a less desirable option. Our experienced estimators can help you understand which option makes the most sense in your specific situation. Call now for a free consultation.
