I overall have had a good experience with the work done by Nichols Pumbing. They did excellent work. As far as estimating costs, there was a lot to be desired. I was verbally quoted around 350-450$ at an initial site visit and the total cost came to 840$. Basically, if you're going to give a quote you have to give yourself some wiggle room because I didn't really have an extra 400$ to hand over that day and my card was charged after a courtesy voicemail same day. Not everyone gets voicemails before 6 pm and not everyone has the financial wiggle room for that.

Hired Nichols to replace our well pump, they sent 2 men to our house who worked for almost 2 hours pulling pipe then they let me know that the well was too deep and they weren’t going to pull the pump or pipe any further. I was working and didn’t pay attention to what they had billed me but they billed for $500 for literally doing nothing ( the hours they listed were also super over inflated) and now we have a ton of sediment in our water and the pump is still not replaced.
